This costume construction was a part of the women’s Krewe of Divine Protectors of Endangered Pleasures in February of 2022. The theme was "Through the Looking Glass" and encouraged members to create a costume that portrayed something not as it seems on the surface. I chose the complex theme of envy to guide my creation of the Green Eyed Monster representing the power and sometimes beauty of the energy of this emotion.
